Abstract

The paper deals with copper extraction from chalcopyrite concentrate by acidic hot-pressure oxidation. The authors discuss the influence of such technical parameters as initial acid concentration, leaching temperature and leaching time etc, on copper leaching rate. The results have shown that the optimum leaching temperature ranges from 110 ℃ to 115 ℃. The leaching rate of copper can be increased by increasing initial acidity, concentration of NaCl, partial pressure of oxygen and reaction time. When the partial pressure of oxygen is 0.45 MPa, the temperature is 110 ℃, the leaching time is 4 h, the initial concentration of NaCl is 40 g/L, the initial concemtration of H 2SO 4 is 110 g/L, the L/S ratio is 5 and the agitation velocity is 750 r/min and the leaching rate of copper is up to 98%. Under oscillating cyanidation condition and at L/S ratio of 4, sodium cyanide dosage of 2 kg/t and cyanidation time of 24 h, the leaching rate of gold is 85%.
