Abstract
Objective To investigate the causes,clinical features,treatment outcomes and prevention of the acute endophthalmitis after cataract surgery.MethodsTo analyse 15 cases of clinical or culture-proven endophthalmitis after cataract surgery.Results Endophthalmitis were controlled in 15 cases by vitrectomy or anterior chamber irrigation and drug therapy.IOL had been removed in 10 cases.Final visul acuities were less than 0.1 in 10 patients.ConclusionsEndophthalmitis after cataract surgery can be controlled after timely management,but it deteriorate the visual acuity.Ophthalmoligist must pay high attention to the aseptic technique.
