Abstract

Objective:To investigate the case’s pathogenesis、distribution and clinical signs of enucleation caused by eye injury. Methods:723 cases of enucleation caused by eye injury were retrospectively analyzed. Results:In 723 cases of enucleation caused by eye injury, the sexual ratio is 6.5/1(male/female); 80% of patients are young people aged from 20 to 50 years old, mainly from rural areas(43.98%). The primary enucleation were used to 52 cases (11.35%) in 457 cases of sharp wound, and 88 cases(57.14%) in 154 cases of blunt trauma, and 106 cases(95.50%) in 111 cases of traffic accident and explosion. The eyeball atrophy and secondary glaucoma havd the most proportion in secondary enucleation, the rate of eyeball atrophy was 40.53%, secondary glaucoma was 21.30%.The morbidity of Orbit fracture in blunt trauma group was 89.72%, in which Orbital medial wall and obital floor wall can be mainly seen. Conclusion:Most cases of eye injury were sharp wound, but the cases of blunt trauma were more serious. Most of blunt trauma cases need to primary enucleation. Most of them accompany orbit fracture.
