Abstract
Objective To explore a simple method used in massively collecting and culturing Trichinella spiralis adult. Methods Based on the method of collecting T.spiralis muscle larvae, combined with several methods the literatures reported, and the characteristic of T.spiralis adult, then improved experiment method. Results Ten adult rats were inoculated with 8 000 T.spiralis excysted larva per rat by the oral route. And 44 600 pure T.spiralis adults were collected,recovery-ratio was 55.75%.T.spiralis adults were active and born newborn larva during culture for 24 hours, and newborn larvae moved actively. Conclusion The method is simple and can be used in massively collecting pure, alive T.spiralis adult.
