Abstract
The carbon and energy in seed germination is gained from the conversion and utilization of seed resource is nutrients and energy during germination. The sugar metabolism of Q 267 and T 26 in sweet corn were analysed. In this study, seed resource consumption effect and seed resource utilization effect were increased, and it had certain difference in different sweet corn germplasm during seed germination;sugars(soluble sugar, fructose and sucrose) were increased firstly and then reduced, while glucose were decreased gradually and the activity of amylase and sucrose synthase were synthesized during germination. It would provide a theoretical basis for sweet corn from the point of view of biological systems.
