Abstract
The effects of potassium on physiological characteristic and shoot growth in winter wheat were studied with pot culture and solution culture The results showed that under the condition of Kdeficiency the supplement of K could promote the growth of root system remarkably ,increases the root vigor, content of soluble sugar and N,K element in root during grain filling period Applying potassium fertilizer in the soil of Kdeficiency also increase the area of flag leaves and chlorophyll contents so making the flag leaves remains a higher photosynthetic rate during grain filling period in winter wheat Applying potassium fertilizer increased the yield of wheat significantly in potculture experiment
