Therapeutic Effect of Iron Sucrose Combined with Recombinant Human Erythropoietin on Hemodialysis Patients with Moderate Anemia

Abstract

Objective:To observe the efficacy of iron sucrose combined with recombinant human erythropoietin in hemodialysis patients with moderate anemia. Method:Fifty-two maintenance hemodialysis patients with moderate anemia in our hospital from January 2011 to December 2012 were selected.They were treated with iron sucrose and recombinant human erythropoietin.The observing durations were 8 weeks.The levels of hemoglobin, hematocrit and serum ferritin were determined before and after treatment.The side-effects of drugs were also observed.Result:The levels of Hb,Hct, SF after treatment were increased significantly than those before treatment(P0.05).No significant side-effects were found.Conclusion:Iron sucrose combined with erythropoietin can effectively improve moderate anemia in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
