Abstract
By applying literature data,video observation and mathematical statistics,the authors carried out a comparative study on the offense capabilities of centers of Chinese and foreign women basketball teams participating in the 28th Olympic Games,revealed that compared with winning teams Chinese women basketball team's center mainly had the following shortages in terms of offense capability: Position battling,ball catching,individual offense means,and close range individual offense effect,etc.,and suggested that Chinese women basketball team should adopt a more advanced basketball training conception,accumulating more experiences in big international games,and selecting and cultivating more excellent coaches.
