Abstract
The influence of part-time farmer's time allocation and income structure on their behaviors of soil and water conservation was theoretically analyzed.A Logistic simulating model was established on the relation between farmer off-farm work and their soil and water conservation behaviors based on the farmer investigation in Xingguo,Shangrao and Yujiang Counties of Jaingxi Province. On the basis of this model, the part-time farmer households' behaviors of soil and water conservation and its regional difference were investigated. Results show that farmer households' understand on soil and water loss, the proportion of off-farm work time, farmer households' education levels significantly influence their soil and water conservation behaviors from the view of population, and farmer households' off-farm work does decrease their work time in soil and water conservation. However, because of difference in social and economic condition, and soil and water loss, there are differences among the three sample regions. Finally, there are relative suggestions on how to encounter soil and water loss.
