Abstract

Objective: To investigate the potential risk factors of portal hypertension in cirrhotic patients. Methods: Retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 122 patients with cirrhosis,in which 50 patients with portal hypertension were assigned as PH group and another 72 without portal hypertension as NPH group. Potential risk factors of cirrhosis with portal hypertension were analyzed by multivariate regression. Results: There were significant differences in sex( male),ascites, serum albumin, platelet count( PLT),diameter of spleen vein and length of the spleen between two groups( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). Multivariate regression showed ascites[OR = 1. 957,95% CI( 1. 37 ~ 2. 45) ],increased diameter of spleen vein[OR = 2. 334,95% CI( 1. 99 ~ 3. 02) ]and decreased PLT[OR = 2. 439,95% CI( 2. 07 ~ 2. 80) ] were risk factors of portal hypertension formation cirrhotic patients. Conclusion: Ascites, increased diameter of spleen vein and decreased PLT were highly correlated with portal hypertension formation, and egular check is required for early diagnosis and prevention of portal hypertension in cirrhotic patients.
