Role of systemic nursing in the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia

Abstract
Objective To explore the methods for the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP) from the point of systemic nursing.Methods 98 patients with mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group,49 cases in each group.The control group was conducted with conventional nursing,while the experimental group was conducted with reinforced systemic nursing intervention on the basis of conventional nursing.Incidence rate of VAP was observed between two groups.Results After the implementation of systemic nursing intervention,the incidence rate of VAP in the experimental group incidence was significantly lower than the control group,and there was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Implementation of systemic nursing intervention for patients with mechanical ventilation can effectively prevent the occurrence of VAP.
