Abstract
Objective To investigate the application of low forceps delivery in cephalic presentation dystocia and its effects on the health of mothers and neonatus.Methods The data of 196 cases of obstetrical forceps midwifery in our hospital were analyzed.Results The maternal complications caused by low forceps delivery were 13.78%(27/196);the fetal complications caused by low forceps delivery were 7.21%(23/319).Conclusion In cephalic presentation dystocia,the rate of maternal and fetal complications and caesarean section can be reduced by the correct use of obstetrical forceps.
