Abstract

Objective To understand the epidemiological trend and characteristics of syphilis from 2004 to 2009,provide scientific evidences for formulating preventive and control strategies.Method Collected the syphilis data of Qinghai province in recent years, and used descriptive epidemiological method to carry out analysis. Results During 2006 to 2010,the annual incidence rate of syphilis increased obviously year by year.Primary syphilis were the main types of the reported syphilis, the following were congenital syphilis, secondary syphilis, latent syphilis tertiary syphilis. The incidence rate of minority autonomous prefectures were higher than others place.Population distribution indicated that most of patients were herdsman and farmers, which accounted for 57.6%,female were more than male, with the sex ratio of 0.68 to 1.00.Cases focus on 20~39 age group. Conclusions Epidemic situation of syphilis is going up rapidly and it diffuses from high risk population to ordinary now,so prevention and cure condition is severe and need to control.
