Clinical observation of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy concurrent TP regimen in the treatment of advanced cervical cancer

OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical efficacy of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy combined with TP regimen in treatment of advanced cervical cancer.METHODS A total of 75 patients with advanced cervical cancer were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.In treatment group,38 patients received simultaneous three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy combined with TP(docetaxel+cisplatin)chemotherapy.In control group,37 patients received radiotherapy.RESULTS The response rate(RR)of treatment group were 94.7%,higher than 70.3% in the control group(P﹤0.05).Up for 2 years,the local recurrence rates in treatment groups and control groups were 7.9% and 29.7%,the distant metastasis rates were 10.5% and 35.1%,there was a significant difference(P﹤0.05).The survival rates at 1,2 year for patients in treatment group vs.control group were 92.1% and 70.3%,84.2% and 62.2%,respectively,there were also a significant difference(P﹤0.05).The incidences of gastrointestinal side effects,bone marrow suppression,radiation proctitis and radiation cystitis in treatment group were slightly higher than control group,but there were no significant differences(P﹥0.05).CONCLUSION For patients with advanced cervical cancer,concurrent chemoradiotherapy can reduce the local recurrence rate and distant metastasis rate,and improve 1,2-year survival rate comparing with radiotherapy alone,and it is a safe and effective adjuvant therapy.
