Abstract
Using aluminum potassium sulfate as the matrix, different mass ratio of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate and mirabilite was mixed uniformly in KAl(SO4)·12H2O and then melted, respectively. The feasibility of they form the eutectic phase change heat storage materials and phase change temperature, latent heat of phase change, supercooling and phase separation of eutectic mixture was studied. The results show that the mixture of KAl(SO4)2·12H2O and MgSO4·7H2O can form eutectic mixture at any mass ratio, eutectic composition is located on nearby mass ratio 5 to 5,the eutectic temperature is 41.19 ℃,the supercooling is about 1.15 ℃,the time of release heat is long and there is no phase separation. When we mix the KAl(SO4)2·12H2O and Na2SO4·10H2O,eutectic composition is located on nearby mass ratio 2 to 8,the eutectic temperature is 50.10 ℃,the supercooling is about 1.2 ℃,the time of release heat is about 20 min and there is no phase separation either. They also will be potential phase change materials applied in low temperature.
