Abstract
This paper presents an adiabatic cross-coupled flip-flops and a synthesis of adiabatic synchronous sequential circuit . The adiabatic cross-coupled latcher is expressed quantitatively in accordance with the theory of three essential circuit elements, and a adiabatic cross-coupled flip-flop consists of a master latcher and a slave latcher . On the basis of above theory, a synthesis method for adiabatic synchronous sequential circuits is proposed, Using this method, adiabatic code error detection circuit of 8421BCD with 50 MOS transistors is designed with lower power consumption than three ADL NOT gates. The proposed theory has been verified by computer simulation
