Abstract
Carboxymethyl cellulose is successfully synthesized from cellulose, which is extracted from furfural residue by the Milox method and then is bleached. The processes of extracting and bleaching and the preparation of carboxymethyl cellulose are studied. The results shows that the optimal extracting conditions are formic acid 80mL,hydrogen peroxide14mL,the time and temperature are 2.5h-2.5h-2.5hand 80℃-95℃-80℃;the bleaching conditions are hydrogen peroxide10mL,sodium hydroxide 2.5g/L,the temperature and time are 45℃and 60min.The substituting degree of carboxymethyl cellulose obtained reaches 0.901 2and the viscosity is 45mPaos.
