Abstract

Based on Biot consolidation theory,a stochastic finite element method for soil consolidation settlement was suggested. In this method, the influences of random fields were taken into account,Duncan-Chang's Model was used and the stochastic formulation was derived.Computational method for the reliability of both point settlement and difference settlement was presented.
