Abstract
The PWM technology of multiphase inverter is one of the most important technologies in multiphase drive system. The traditional five-phase SVPWM is in fact the application of the traditional three-phase SVPWM method, which uses two adjacent large vectors and zero vector to compose reference vector, and the output line voltages include high third harmonic. On the basis of profound analysis about characteristic and rule of five-phase inverter's voltage vector,a novel SVPWM named Low Harmonic Low Loss SVPWM(LHLLSVPWM) is presented. The characteristic and performance of the five-phase LHLLSVPWM are studied with theoretical analysis and are compared with the traditional five-phase SVPWM,it is proved by experiment.
