Synthetic assessment on the geographical provenance at youthful stand of Fokienia hodginsii

There were obvious differences in the height,diameter and volume growth of Fokienia hodginsii,a young forest 6~7 years old in 17 geographical provenances and 48 families at mountain,middle mountain and hill.Heritability of the height,diameter and volume is 0.5561～0.9034,0.6303～0.9140,0.6701～0.9143 respectively.Among the provenances and environment of interaction,the rank of the height,diameter and volume growth was mountain middle mountain area hill.Based on the selection standard on the volume growth exceeded(15%) of average provenances,10 superior provenances and 16 families were tentatively selected with the genetic gain of 18.99%～94.96%,16.78%～215.75% respectively.Based on the selection standard on the volume growth exceeded(60%) of average provenances,99 superior provenance plus trees and 140 families plus trees were tentatively selected with the genetic gain of 63.66%～257.61%,138.33%～878.34% respectively.
