Abstract
Active network is a new network in that the users may make programming about its relay node.In this paper,we discuss the characters and problems of Multicast Routing Protocol,propose a Reliable Multicast Routing Protocol based on Active network(RMRPA).RMRPA supports a reliable multicasting networks by reducing the number of route reconstruction and packet retransmission,decreases time for error discovery and default recovery.At last,simulation results show that the RMRPA has high delivery ratio and low end-to-end delay for packet transmission.
