Color is an essential part of human culture.At the same time,the culture of color can often reflect the differences of cultural connotation between different nationalities most directly.Based on the comparison of the word 'red' in Chinese and English,this paper tries to explore the similarities and differences of cultural connotation between English and Chinese culture.
