Abstract
In the paper, the issues in wind-resistant design of Fangchenggang Culture Art Center, which has a large span roof with complex bionic shape, were studied in different structural design phases using three research methods, including CFD simulation, rigid model pressure measurement wind tunnel test and dynamic wind-induced vibration analysis.Through the analysis of the wind-induced loads on this large span roof, equivalent static wind loading on the roof surface was given for the main roof structural design. In practice,it is shown that this could be a good approach to solve some common problems in the wind-resistant design for complex large-span buildings. This study will provide a good reference for wind load estimation of the same type of buildings.
