Abstract

Synthesis conditions which influenced total base number(TBN) of calcium-magnesium alkyl salicylate compound detergent were studied and optimized by single factor test and orthogonal experiment. The product structure was characterized by Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) and freeze-etching replication transmission electron microscopy(FE-EM).The best synthesis conditions of calcium-magnesium alkyl salicylate compound detergent were determined as follows: magnesia 22 g,water 10mL,methanol 20mL,aqua ammonia 6mL;the flow rate of carbon dioxide 120 mL/min,carbonation time 3 h,carbonation temperature 45 ~ 50 ℃,neutralization reaction time 1h.The results show that under the best synthesis conditions, total base number of product is over 350 mg KOH/g,and synthesis process conditions have favorable repetition;.
