Abstract
In Huanjiang area of Northern Ordos basin Chang 8 reservoir have great exploration potential and is a typical low permeability and low porosity reservoir.Through the petrology characteristics pore type and description in huanjiang area of Northern extension、reservoir characteristics and influence factors were studied. The results showed that long and reservoir rock was mainly lithic arkose and feldspathic sandstone.Characteristics was a typical low permeability and low porosity reservoir, various types of reservoir pore to intergranular hole, feldspar dissolved hole as the major reservoir space, reservoir by sedimentary facies and diagenesis of the comprehensive effect.Comprehensive evaluation of reservoir suggested that the study area had good development prospects. For low permeability reservoirs of effective development provided a theoretical basis.
