Abstract

The Digital Down Conversion(DDC) plays a key role in Software Defined Radio(SDR).The intermediate frequency(IF) band signal with higher sample rate is converted into the baseband signal with lower sample rate by the processing of DDC in order to make easier for signal processing.This paper proposed a DDC design with the background of multi-channel Array Receiver of GPS/BD-2,which could make the system realize 32 channel DDC processing with 8 chips of ISL5416.And the design methods of the Decimation filter which are used for extracting Narrow band digital signal from Broadband IF were discussed emphatically.The DDC provided the technical solution for solving the hardware bottleneck in software radio.
