Abstract
Field trial on studying the effect of combined application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer on maize yield and nutrient uptake was carried out.The results indicated that combined application of P and K fertilizer could improve maize growth, yield components, and significantly increase yield. The average yield of three seasons showed that treatment P90K120 can obtain the highest yield. The fertilizer response equation showed the yield responses of crop to P were larger than that of K.The study also showed combined application of P and K fertilizer were beneficial to provide the balanced nutrient, increased nutrient content and nutrient uptake in maize.
