Abstract
Objective: To observe the morphology and structure of facial nerve ganglion and the distribution of ganglion cells and therelationshipwithtrigeminalnerve.Method:Tilapiaswereperfusedintracardiallywith10%formalinforobservationthemorphology of facial nerve ganglion, positional relationship with trigeminal ganglion, then the facial nerve ganglion, trigeminal ganglions, roots and braches were used to make drawings of the serial sections, and performed three-dimensional reconstruction with a computer. And observe the distribution of ganglion cells. Result: The morphology of facial nerve is nearly circular shape. ②Facial nerve ganglion located within the cranial cavity, the trigeminal ganglion is embedded in the bone tissue between the wall of the orbit and the cranial cavity. ③Peripheral synapses emitted from facial nerve ganglion passed through the trigeminal ganglion and accompanied with the branches of the trigeminal nerve ④Ganglion cells distribute into a group in the ganglion. Conclusion: The tilapias facial nerve ganglion is located in the cranial cavity, at the medial of trigeminal ganglion.
