Abstract
The effect of temperature on relationship between soil urease activity and heavy metal toxicity were studied,the results indicated that the optimum temperature was 60~70℃ for soil urease reaction because urease were obviously protected by soil organic matter and clay, the relationship between temperature and urease activity was inhibited by Hg and Cd,especially Hg+Cd. Soil urease activity could be an index of soil contaminated by Hg and Hg+Cd because urease activity was most remarkable correlation with heavy metal concentrations. By non linear regression ,urease activity was affected not only by single factor (such as Hg,Cd and temperature respectively), but also by their combined effect, three parameters could be better expressed soil urease activity affected by any single factor,single factors also had major influence on activity.
