Abstract

Objective To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of artificial injection with local water band assistance percutaneous radiofrequency ablation of high- risk parts of the liver cancer. Methods Ultrasound-guided needle into the liver and the critical organ gap from the body surface, injected with normal saline 500-1000ml,with the formation of artificial local water band intervals, separated from the liver and adjacent organs,in 14 patients of 20 lesions with percutaneous radiofrequency ablation treatment, after 1month review enhanced CT evaluated. Results One month after the tumor imaging evaluation,20 lesions,16 complete ablation, necrosis rate of 80%. No serious complications occurred. Relapse within 6 months in 2 cases,3 cases of recurrence within 1 year, including the emergence of new lesions in 2 cases, necrotic lesions reinforces the original with CEA increased three cases, all patients now survive nine cases, the longest follow-up time of 20 months, the shortest 7 months, the average survival was 10 months. Conclusions Artificial injection with local water band assistance percutaneous radiofrequency ablation of high-risk parts of the small liver cancer is a safe, minimally invasive and effective method.
