ON THE RESEARCH OF FOLK CUSTOMS IN CHINESE ANEIENT HISTORY

Abstract

The research for folk customs in China qppeared vey early in history,originated from the early Western Zhou Dynasty,but the formation of the research for folk customs study was the appearance of Qisuxun,Huainanzi and Moral Meaning of Folk Customs as its indication,In the Tang and Song Dynasties the practice of research for folk customs was popular and the rulers took the research for the important resource of the reference for policy making and help for domination and promoted its development.As for the formation of modern folk customs study after the introduction of Western folk custom theory,we have not discussed it in this paper.
