Theoretical Basis and Guiding Principles of Urban Forest Plan

Urban forest plan is different from natural forest plan and urban garden plan.The theoretical basis of urban forest plan is comprised of forest ecology, urban ecology, forest aesthetics, landscape ecology and human ecology . The goals of urban forest plan are as follows : to improve the urban ecological environment and to fulfill the circulation of urban ecological system,to increase the urban impression,to embody the cultural value of forest ,to manifest the economical function of forest and to promote the development of urban 3rd industry .There are five principles which should be obeyed when urban forest plan is made: putting the ecological function and ecological safety first, meeting the needs of local residents and making the environment beautiful , obeying the law of nature and displaying the urban distinctions, putting the city and suburb together and optimizing the whole function of urban ecological system .
