Abstract
In mobile computing environment, for transaction's mobility and frequent discormection, the traditional re- al-time scheduling mechanisms are not suitable for the execution of mobile real-time transactions. In this paper a scheduling protocol SSRTD for soft real-time transactions is proposed, which is designed based on the extended dead- line and result similarity. The transmitting time of transaction's results from base servers to mobile hosts is deter- mined by the connection status of mobile hosts. According to the performance tests, the suggested scheduling strate- gy can improve the success ratio of real-time transactions.
