Gender,Identity and Narrative Discourse:Mainstreams Approaches to Feminist Narratology

Since late 1980s,feminist narratology in the west has refocused its attention to the relations among narrative discourse,gender and identity,including the gendered narrative strategies,gendered interpretation of specific narration and the construction of the reader's gender identity by narrative forms.Meanwhile,feminist narratologists have also tried,through practical criticism,to enrich classical narratological categories.It is the efforts of Lanser and Warhol that have established the mainstream approaches to feminist narratology in the west.
