Abstract

This paper analyzed fertilizer requirements and nutritional characteristics of Eucalyptus plantations, examined the soil fertility status of the main Eucalyptus plantations areas and identified the main problems with existing Eucalyptus fertilization practices. Based on these analyses suggestions are formulated for improving fertilization practices for cultivation of Eucalyptus plantations in China in order to provide a more the scientific basis for such fertilization and for the sustainable management of fast-growing and high-yielding Eucalyptus plantations.
