Abstract

The research and development situation of fuel cell electric vehicles are reviewed in brief.The practical significance of hydrogen production by dimethyl ether reforming for fuel cell is reviewed.Two existing methods for hydrogen preparation,namely dimethyl ether steam reforming and autothermal reforming,are introduced.Reforming of dimethyl ether is one of the desired hydrogen sources for fuel cells,if proper catalysts are chosen.In this paper,recent advances in the field of catalyst for dimethyl ether reforming are reviewed,including their catalytic performance,reaction conditions,products,catalytic mechanism,and dynamic analysis.Reformers and its future research work in the area are suggested.
