Abstract
Shanzhou, which existed for one hundred and fourty years and was one of the most important cities in West frontier of Tang Dynasty was located in the East part of Qinghai that is now located in the Northwest part of China . This article here discusses the following aspects of ancient Shanzhou on political system , population and economy develop ment, martial system and political position, ect.
