Abstract
The paper analyzes the protection configuration of interconnecting transformer in 500 kV system with its protection range, cooperation of backup protection and operating flexiblity. According to the principles of strengthening the main protection and simplifying the backup protection, a new protection configuration scheme of interconnecting transformer in 500 kV system is put forward.
