Abstract
The example of refining pure acetic acid from acetic acid-water system with the entrainer of n-butyl acetate was simulated to study the behavior of entrainer in azeotropic distillation by the process simulation software ASPEN PLUS in this article.The simulation result shows that the location of control stage changes with the change of entrainer makeup flow.With the increase of entrainer makeup flow,the higher the temperature of distillation,the heavier the heater and cooler duty.The appropriate makeup flow rate is determined.Compared with the entrainer of isobutyl acetate,the entrainer of n-butyl acetate is more appropriate for the reason of less cost.
