Abstract
The plane elastic problem about star crack of orthotropic composite plate was studied,the conformal mapping and special stress function,together with complex variable method of material fracture,are properly chosen to deduce the stress fields and the analytic solutions of the stress intensity factors for mode and mode problems at the crack tip.
