Abstract
[Objective]To study the value of percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage(PTCD)for the treatment of malignant obstructive jaundice.[Methods]One hundred and eight patients with malignant obstructive jaundice were treated with PTCD. The puncture for drainage was performed under fluoroscopic guidance.[Results]All the patients were drained successfully, the levels of serum bilirubin and transaminase decreased significantly after the procedure. The incidence of complications was 5.6%,which consisted of bile leakage(1 patient),shock(2 patients),catheter shifting(1 patient)and displacement(2 patients).[Conclusions]It is an effective and safe method to treat malignant obstructive jundice with PTCD.
