Abstract
In order to study the deep crustal structure across the transition zone of the northern part of the South China Sea,an onshore-offshore seismic experiment was carried out for the first time in Hongkong and the Zhujiang River Delta region. This paper introduced the main steps of data processing, discussed the problems of timing errors in navigation data and their resolving methods, and proposed some improvements for data processing procedures.Through the processing methods of filter, clip, gaining and so on,the signal-noise ratio was enhanced. The preliminary results obtained for 15 seismic stations proved that this onshore-offshore experiment was very successful.Different seismic phases and clear signals for over 240km distance could be identified. These results provided a strong base for the study of 2D and 3D deep crustal structure of the next stage.
