Abstract

The research and industrial application of high temperature heat pipe heat exchanger represented by liquid metal heat pipe technology was introduced. It included the researches on heat transfer performance and limits of liquid metal heat pipes, overall heat transfer characteristics and the efficiency of high temperature heat pipe heat exchangers, safety in industrial application of liquid metal heat pipes, compatibility of low-alloy steel - liquid metal heat pipes and simulated optimization research on high-temperature heat pipe heat exchangers. On the basis of experimental and theoretical investigations, high temperature heat pipe heat exchangers had been employed in the industrial process. The cases of its industrial application, which included the high temperature heat pipe hot air furnaces and high temperature heat pipe heat extractors, had been introduced.
