Abstract

Objective: To study the clinical effect of dual metal ferrule for on fixed prosthesis in the residual roots and crowns. Methods: 70 residual teeth of 65 patients were endodontically treated and restored by post and core crown with dual metal ferrule, followed up for 1~2 years. Results: 65 cases were satisfactory, only 5 cases appeared loose, fractured, porcelain dropped, gingivitis and so on. Conclusions: Dual metal ferrule for fixed prosthesis in the residual root and crown has its own indication, which should be carefully applied clinically.
