Abstract
The effect of post vulcanization, shearing time and premix processes on mechanical properties and compression set of hydrogenated nitrile rubber(HNBR) filled with carbon black(N550) and zinc dimethacrylate(ZDMA) were investigated. The filler-dispersion under different process was characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The results showed that the filler-dispersion and the mechanical properties of vulcanizates were improved with the addition of post vulcanization and shearing process. The reactive filler-ZDMA dispersed very well in nano meter scale with the premix process of ZDMA/ dicumyl peroxide(DCP).
