The Application of VB(VBA) in the Secondary Development of AutoCAD2005

This paper firstly introduces several secondary development environment of AutoCAD, especially on how to successfully apply AutoCAD2005 to some professional fields based on the VB(VBA) secondary development platform. The details of developing through an example of adding a menu to the menubar of AutoCAD and some functions of survey digital mapping have been realized based on VB and VBA development environment. It also specifies on how to start complicate Visual Basic programs when clicking the AutoCAD menus, and the skills for automatically loading customer menus when starting the AutoCAD2005 program. Some codes of the examples illustrated in this paper for AutoCAD secondary developing based on Visual Basic are given.
