Abstract

Starting from the market demand for the prediction of ship speed,sea keeping performance and maneuvering performance,the present status of the prediction of ship comprehensive performances at home and abroad is analyzed.The Ship Performance Prediction System(SPPS 1.0) developed by SSSRI,MARIC and CSSRC is introduced in detail.In the system,computer network technique,mother ship prediction method and dynamic database of hydrodynamics tests for excellent ships have been combined,ship sea keeping and maneuvering theories are applied.A common technical platform supported by network has been set up and can provide remote service of predicting ship performance for whole ship industry.The developed system software deals with the contradiction between the security and the whole industry sharing of the kernel technical resource in database effectively,the system is advanced and good for practice.
