Abstract
Collegial period is the critical phase of personality shaping and development of a college student. Cultivating healthy personality in college students is necessary for their physical and mental well-being and their growth and development, as well as development of high education and society in our country. This paper explores the status quo of personality education for college students in China from the following aspects: the necessity of personality education for college students, factors affecting personality shaping and development, and personality defect and its cause, and personality construction.
