Introduction and Utilization Situations of Worldwise Rice Germplasm Resources in China

The collection and conservation situations of the worldwide rice germplasm resources and their introduction and utilization status in China were discussed.The great significance of the genetic resources diversity of rice for enriching the rice resources bank and increasing the genetic diversity was explained.Meanwhile,it was pointed out that the great spreading and planting,simplification and genetic frangibility of the improved rice varieties resulted in the narrow genetic background.Some suggestions were put forward,including strengthening the introduction,evaluation and utilization power of foreign rice resources and broadening the genetic background.
