Abstract
Objective To explore the surgical treatment and results of comprehensive treatment of breast cancer in different stages. Methods Eighty patients with breast cancer were performed operations according to clinical staging and tumor size.In 80 patients with breast cancer,4in stageⅠ were performed simple mastectomy,20 in stageⅡ to Ⅲcomplicated with group 1and 2axillary lymphadenectasis modified radical mastectomy and 49 in stage Ⅱ to Ⅱcomplicated with group 1,2and 3axillary lymphadenectasis were respectively performed radical mastectomy, and 1of stageⅢ c and 6of stage Ⅳ underwent palliative total mastectomy.Seventy-six patients received chemotherapy or radiotherapy after operation except 4patients in stageⅠ.All patients were followed up for 5years to observe the survival rate. Results Four patients survived after simple mastectomy. In 20 patients receiving modified radical mastectomy,10survived(50.00%).In 49 patients receiving radical mastectomy,41survived(83.67%).In 7patients receiving palliative breast cancer resection,2survived(28.57%).The 5-year survival rate in 60 patients with tumor diameter3cm was86.67%,higher than that in 20 patients with tumor diameter3cm(25.00%)(P0.05).Conclusion For patients with breast cancer in stageⅡ and over, radical mastectomy or modified radical mastectomy plus adjuvant radiotherapy or chemotherapy can improve the 5-year survival rate.
